Another place I didn’t get to take much photos of was the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A). We were in such a hurry after our tour of the Parliament to make it to the V&A then all our other stops for the day which included the Tower of London and the HMS Belfast.
So this post, like our visit, will be short and sweet. To be honest, Alvin wasn’t that big on visiting this museum in particular. After all, it’s known for decorative arts and design. That meant none of his usual must-sees that are related to great battles and political upheavals. I have to admit that the visit was more for me so that I can indulge in some vintage fashion.
This year’s first skin care review goes to two new products from The Face Shop that have floored me. Like I said a couple of posts ago, I would be a little more picky when it comes to what I feature on this space so as to give you guys more curated content and I think these new products are a good way to start that new policy.
So The Face Shop recently came out with a new range called Yehwadam and I was able to try their Revitalising Serum and the Snow Lotus Brightening Pearl Capsule Cream. Both are great if you’re looking into adding some oomph into your night time routine – especially on the anti-ageing department.
I’ve met Fiona several times but not once did I ever see her as someone battling depression. She seems fun, outgoing, and she runs everyday! Surely, she’s flooded with happy hormones, right?
It’s literally a few days from Christmas and I feel like an exhausted elf working in the North Pole. While buying gifts and wrapping them are fun, I have to admit that it can really take its toll on me, physically. In fact, I’m typing this at 1:30 in the morning after finishing up another batch of gifts.
However, I just know that I had to log in real quick here to share with you some good news. The Body Shop here in Malaysia has launched an online shopping app! You know what this means, right? You can now shop for your favourite shower gels and body butters on the go!
As somebody who often writes about beauty, I get approached to try out new products quite often. To be honest, nothing much surprises or even piques my interest these days as things tend to get a bit repetitive in the beauty scene.
There, I said it.
Quite a number of times, I’ve encountered products that seem promising but end up being gimmicky – much to my disappointment. So I end up not writing about them because they’re just a waste of time and effort.
Recently, however, I got to know of Japanese beauty company Tansan Magic. At first, I was quite reluctant due to my said experience with some gimmicky products these past few months that left me in a beauty rut. But knowing that the Japanese do beauty products and treatments really well, I thought of giving it a go.
I was sent the Soda Spa Foam and the Sparkling Gelee – two products that you can use both on your skin and hair to make them squeaky clean and hydrated. Just two of the things I truly need on a daily basis.
Happy Halloween, everybody! It’s one of my most favourite holidays. Costumes? Crazy makeup? Sign me up!
That’s why today’s quick post is going to be about a makeup set – something I know will be useful to a lot of people who are into changing their look for a night of fun! It doesn’t hurt either that the name of the product kinda fits today’s holiday too. ????
If you know me personally, you must have seen how stressed I have been the past couple of weeks.
Events, write-ups for news sites I work for, marketing work, some freelance work with the United Nations (which I finished today, yay!), diplomat’s wife duties, and there’s also The Binge. ???? Of course, I’m not complaining. My career is on a pretty good roll, and I’ve never been this fit. Alvin has been constantly reminding me to slow down though since I’m quite overworked. He is kinda right.
My eye bags looked more like luggage and I’ve been experiencing some back pain despite my regular workouts. ???? My brain is constantly on overdrive that sometimes I even dream of work! I truly needed a moment of relaxation as my husband suggested!
EOS Wellness invited me over just in time and I swear, I made the right choice to squeeze it into my already-packed schedule. A lot of times, we just need to hit the pause button and just relax. I needed a full on reboot and I got it that day in the couple of hours that I spent there.
